The Volkswagen Golf GTI recently celebrated its 40 years in the automobile industry. With years into the market, the Club Sport S version was modified to make the vehicle lighter. As a result, the model has better powertrain. In fact, it has been labeled to be the fastest Golf GTI model available at present.

The Specs. Car enthusiasts were impressed when Volkswagen Golf GTI models were recorded to generate 2020 and 230 hp. However, the Club Sport S model was later created which improved the model's powertrain to 265 hp.

As reported by Auto Week, the latest model was installed with a 2.0 TSI engine with a turbo block feature. In fact, it has been installed with a third gear and can improve its powertrain to 290 hp. Running with a front-wheel drive feature, the maximum powertrain the vehicle could generate is at 310 hp with the manual transmission version that has no rear seat.

Furthermore, the 2017 Golf GTI Club Sport S roars louder at full acceleration due to its 10 mm thick finials. Its direct stirring and nose also improved its handling along with its improved backlight features. However, the model is slightly stiffer than its predecessor due to its strut brace. Other features include the adaptive driving program with the modes Normal, Comfort, Race, and Individual along with better throttle response, and electronically controlled lock on and front axle.  

In other news, Car Advice reported that the model will be imported with a three-door feature. Although it was first pegged to be a niche product, the market competition, Renault Sport Megane, showed that their common market has a great potential increase in sales.

At first, Volkswagen confirmed the regular five-door GTI model installed with the hi-powered 213kW Golf R AW models to release by this year. However, the Golf GTI Club Sport S model's official release date will be announced next month at the Geneva Motor Show 2017.
