[VIDEO] Overwatch News: DLC Lucio Joins Heroes Of The Storm; Overwatch TV Series Coming Soon

Overwatch, one of the most played titles from Blizzard's game roster sees TV series possibilities. With over 25 million players, the game developers see a great potential to make their success reach an all new level.

Blizzard is known for developing great game titles such as World of Warcraft, Diablo, Starcraft, and Hearthstone. With its success in the gaming industry, the company sees the potential of creating either Film or TV series for titles such as Overwatch and StarCraft. According to Bitgon, Activision-Blizzard Studios, Stacey Sher stated that the company is considering to make a major leap to film and television industry.

"We're going to do more, but we're going to move very carefully and thoughtfully. We're going to pick the best medium to be it film, TV or shorts - the one that best serves each franchise individually," says Sher as reported by the source.

Currently, Blizzard is teasing fans with the latest character short animation, and they looked totally amazing. Sher also added that "linear media" which does not correspond to any television or film medium instead, this could suggest something traditional which could either be books or comics. This plan of Activision-Blizzard is to meet fans hunger with contents and topics.

In other news, Lucio, an Overwatch character joins Heroes of the storm. This game title is a popular multiplayer battle game featuring different characters from a variety of Blizzard titles. Lucio will be the third character ported to Heroes of the Storm following Tracer and Zarya.

Lucio's abilities remain unchanged, but his Reverse Amp can not only damage his foes but also slow them down. There are no further details on what Lucio can do in Heroes of the Storm. As of the moment, Blizzard only left fans with a cliffhanger statement that says "soon."
