2017 Subaru Outback comes with standard all-wheel drive and good ground clearance which makes it more capable than the typical crossover SUV. Advanced safety is on par with competitors with the help of its EyeSight system.

According to Roadshow, Subaru Outback Touring version comes with 2.5-liter four- cylinder engine. It has 175 horsepower and 174 pound-feet of torque. According to EPA testing, it achieves 25mpg in the city and 32mpg on the highway. On the inside, the cabin comes with a satin-finish wood trim and saddle brown leather. It is loaded with dashboard electronics and driver-assistance features. There is basic navigation, digital audio, and Bluetooth phone support, all accessible on the 7-inch touchscreen. 2017 Subaru Outback also includes StarLink telematics system, along with an associated app, that helps with emergency services and on-the-road needs. What Subaru Outback is lacking is Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

Standard Touring trim also comes with Harmon Kardon stereo that features 12 speakers and a 576-watt amp. The EyeSight system enables pre –collision braking and lane-departure warning. The modest 175 horsepower engine, doesn’t really create excitement, but Subaru also offers a 3.6-liter six –cylinder engine with 256 horsepower. This engine will give more satisfying acceleration, and it has 2,700-pound tow rating. But also comes with a 5mpg decrease in fuel economy. The 2017 Subaru Outback is one of the more practical and capable crossovers.

AutoWeek reported that the  2017 Subaru Outback comes in six trim levels: 2.5i, 2.5i Premium, 2.5i Limited, 2.5i Touring, 3.6R Limited, and 3.6R Touring. The 3.6R Touring trim is fully loaded and $39,070 price reflects that. However, the 2.5i models are all under $30,000. The 2.5i Premium is the perfect balance out of all models. It comes with a $28,570 price tag. Subaru Outback 3.6R doesn’t feel that much faster than the four-cylinder model. It doesn’t get more towing capacity, the fuel economy drops by 5mpg city and highway, and it costs $2,600 more than the 2.5i model.
