There are many reasons to be completely excited about the upcoming release of yet another amazing SUV by Jeep. The 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk. It does have so many updates enough to make everyone practically drool. It will officially be released in a few months and already it is making the headlines.
According to Auto Evolution, the 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk is powered by a Hellcat engine! This definitely makes this upcoming SUV a cut above the rest. There were also spy videos and photographs available, however, the front part is totally covered.
There are also available two main leads on this SUV. The first reports state that the 2018 Grand Cherokee Trackhawk will be able to accelerate from zero to 60 mph in just 3.5 seconds! This is typically unlikely for a wide-bodied type such as an SUV. This speed is only achieved by muscle sports car such as the Porsche Cayenne Turbo S. however if this indeed is confirmed, the upcoming Trackhawk is 0.3 seconds faster that the Cayenne Turbo S!
The second rumor has something to do with the recently-released Ram Rebel TRX Concept. This may be a little downside because the latest Grand Cherokee Trackhawk may be powered with a Hellcat engine but the output of its supercharged 6.2-liter V-8 has considerably dropped from 705 to just 575-horsepower. In spite of the decrease in power, it can still do 100 mph easy. Still, decrease in power is not a good thing.
As added by Motor Trend, the 2018 Grand Cherokee Trackhawk prototypes were spotted between FCA's Auburn Hills Tech Center and the SRT Headquarters. It was also seen that the brand's signature seven-slot grille appear to be half as tall as on the older Grand Cherokee models.
The outboard intakes also incorporate LED foglights as it was seen in the facility. It also sports heat extractor vents similar to that of Dodge Hellcat models. Additional new intake slit has also been added to the front bumper spoiler.
The 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk will officially be released on Summer of this year. A few months from now, many will get to have their hands on to this powerful beast of an SUV, probably the most powerful of its kind to ever be produced!
