Another Dodge Challenger SRT Demon video was recently released to further tease the world prior to its New York auto show debut. This time, Fiat Chrysler Automobiles displays the Demon's Air Grabber cold air intake hood.

In a report by Motor Trend, Dodge has revealed that the functional "Air Grabber" is the largest cold air intake hood ever installed on a production vehicle. It measures over 45-square inches and features a large air box sealed to the car's hood scoop. It also has two functional "Air Catcher" headlamps.

These new updates will greatly improve the Demon's performance by increasing airflow and dropping the inlet air temperature by more than 30 degrees. The latest video shows the air's flow path through the cold air intake and supercharger.

Basically, this means that more air will be fed to the engine via the giant hood scoop. Fiat Chrysler Automobiles has done this so that more cold air will be fed to the engine in order to achieve a higher fuel-air mixture and increased power, according to Guide Auto Web. Overall, the 2018 Dodge Challenger SRT Demon will likely have a higher horsepower output than the Hellcat's 707-hp.

While Fiat Chrysler Automobiles have yet to release the Demon's actual specs, it is expected to be the fastest muscle car in the world. It will definitely surpass the performance numbers of the Hellcat.

In addition, the Demon will not only be more powerful, but it was already revealed to be 215 pounds lighter than the Hellcat. Other than that, it will be a dedicated racing vehicle due to the fact that it will be a single seater and not intended for day to day driving.
