Although the Tesla Model X is already for sale in the automobile market as an electric vehicle, Dietmar Voggenreiter claims that the Audi E-Tron Quattro SUV, an upcoming model to be released next year, will be the first of its kind. Therefore, the automaker allegedly claimed that Tesla's EV is not a premium all-electric model. Which of the claims are true?

Is Tesla's Version A Non-All-Electric Premium? During an interview for the launch of Audi E-Tron Quattro, Voggenreiter attested that their version of an all-electric vehicle, to be released by 2018, is the first real premium electric model to enter the market. Pegged to run 311mi with a single charge, the model's powertrain and NEDC rating, Audi's Chief of Sales and Marketing ignored the claim that Tesla Model X, which is currently on sale in the market now, is the first of its kind, reported Electrek.

Furthermore, Voggenreiter also claimed that the features of the upcoming model are similar to Porsche's Mission E. Although the latter would be released by 2019, the Voggenreiter indirectly meant, according to the source, that Tesla Model X is not similar with the all-electric vehicle features that Audi and Porsche will bring to the market despite its claim to be of the same kind.

In other news, Auto Car reported that the 2018 Audi E-Tron Quattro is currently being produced on schedule and would have the same SUV size as the Audi Q5 and Audi Q7. In fact, the automobile's concepts were already introduced during the 2015 Frankfurt Show.

The Specs. The upcoming vehicle's battery technology was considered a crucial feature of the model. It was forecasted to have a fast-charging capacity which the brand developed intensely which resulted in the delay of its official release date in the market. In fact, the battery energy density was destined to be a trend in the U.S., European, and Asian markets by the time the 2018 Audi E-Tron Quattro SUV will be available for purchase.
