Great news, Slightly Mad Studios and Bandai Namco announced the release of Project Cars 2 for Windows PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. According to the company and publisher, the release will be towards the end of 2017.

Project Cars is a great racing simulator released in 2015. Its sequel has been speculated for some time now.

According to latest Project Cars 2 news, the famous game will launch more than 60 tracks and over 170 cars. This is an apparent increase in the 30 locations and 74 cars from the original game.

Slightly Mad Studios assures plays can expect all-new racing experiences on different terrains. This includes ice, dirt, mud and shows driving experiences.

Of course, this also features the ultra-realistic physics and fully dynamic weather system of the game which fans have come to love. For PC users, the Project Cars 2 will support the "12K resolution".

12K resolution is the developer's term for three 4K monitors in an AMD Eyefinity/Nvidia Surround setup. This provides an immersive, panoramic experience for gamers.

Technically, a setup such as this one does pack a resolution of 11,520 x 3840 for "12K". However, it will not be as demanding on a user's PC hardware as true 8k.

On the other hand, virtual reality is all the fuss for gamers these days. Project Cars 2 will also support virtual reality headsets to make the experience even more realistic for players.

This is not the only upgrade the game will get. According to reports, some of the most important updates of the game will be what's going on under the hood.

The early impression suggests that Project Cars 2 will give players an easier control when playing. As for the car models featured in the game, Ian Bell from Slightly Mad Studio released more details in the GTPlanet forum.

Bell revealed that Ferrari, Lamborghini, and Porsche are only some of the big names featured in the sequel to the game. More official licenses are set to follow.
