‘Red Dead Redemption 2’ Updates: Game To Go Online, Take Two To Provide Support, CEO Answers Questions On Competition, Marketing Support

"Red Dead Redemption 2" is all set to go online. The 2010 Red Dead redemption was a success. It was able to gain a market space and a large number of loyal customers. It is reported that in its first year, the game had shipped close to 8.5 million.

The CEO of the franchise, Strauss Zelnick, stated that the team was excited about the game going online, He did not put a number on the sales figure that the new title will fetch. In the market, there are speculations that the new title will sell 15 million units in a minimum. He brushed aside most questions on the title saying that Rockstar games will make the necessary announcements, reported Gamespot.

Strauss Zelnick further said that the team is very excited as the team is going online and he expects the game to do well in the future too. "Obviously, we're incredibly excited about the title. Not just Red Dead Redemption [2], but also the online offering to come," Zelnick said. "So Rockstar will talk more about the title, but obviously, there is great anticipation both on the part of ourselves and consumers."

Zelnick also discussed the marketing support that the new title will be provided with. He stated that Take-Two will be giving support to the new game. He stated that they support all the releases well. He also expressed his pride in the effort that the marketing teams take to bring out the success of a title. "I think you should expect to see, with regard to all of our releases, very significant marketing support," Zelnick stated, reported VG247.

Zelnick was positive about the future of GTA Online. The Red Dead Redemption's online mode is set to appeal to many gamers around the world. The new title, "Red Dead Redemption 2" is set to hit the markets through Xbox One and PlayStation 4 during this fall.
