Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 2 Is Gonna Be More Than Expected

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2 is going to wow audiences just like the first movie. Fans expecting the sequel to be as equally enjoying or more need not worry as writer and director James Gunn have confirmed his confidence in the film.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 to be an even greater box office and critical success. Gunn has stated to IGN, and some reporters who visited the set last April that the sequel is not going to be what anyone expects. Anything familiar in the movie will be supplemented by Gunn's attempt to surprise moviegoers with a more character-driven story. The film is supposed to explore deeper into each character while still keeping audiences satisfied with Marvel's signature humor and action.

The movie will pick up two months where the first film left off and will show the characters and how the success of defeating Ronan previously had gotten to their heads. The story will not involve Thanos at all as Marvel would most likely prefer to save him for the Infinity Wars movies of which he will be the main villain.

The film will be an entirely different story that will focus on the growth of the characters of Star-Lord, Drax, Rocket, Gemora, and the amazingly cute Baby Groot. It also focuses on their evolution as a family.

According to the Marvel Studio executive Kevin Feige, the team has all grown a bit more "pompous" and is a "garage band that then gets (a) multi-platinum album, and have egos to go along with." He further added, "Not Drax as much, but all of them, particularly Quill."

The first movie tells of how the team had put their differences aside and eventually got together to take down a common threat. Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, however, will have the heroes face two new villainous foes while separated from each other with the separation testing the bond they had formed from the original film.
