Evanston Dealership: Luxury Cars Robbery

These past few months, there have been a few dealerships that targeted for their high-end and luxurious vehicles. Recently, a team of police was investigating after a few cars stolen from a dealership in North rural Evanston.

Police reacted to an unsettling call at the Autobarn merchant around 12:15 a.m. Friday, and found the door that had been constrained open. An empty vehicle was running, and somebody had broken into the workplace where the car keys were kept.

The way to the office room where keys are kept was also constrained open as indicated by the reports of the police who responded. The manager in-charge of the business confirmed that there were three BMWs stolen including an X4, 335 and an X2. Authorities later found that the sold Porsche 911 Turbo and a fourth BMW were also included on the stolen vehicles.

Chicago police have later found the X4 and 335, both left on the North Lake Shore, and the Porsche was found close to West North Avenue and North Mohawk Street. The dealership said a third BMW had been recuperated and a fourth BMW which has a tracker is still unrecovered.

Police respondents looked for evidence all over the area last Friday. According to the Agents in-charge of the case, the CCTV video appears to show six individuals that were involved in the said crime.

Previously, two luxurious vehicles running were stolen from the carport of a similar dealership, however, were later recouped. This isn't the first run through autos that have been stolen off from car lots. A month ago, there were nine counts of autos that were stolen from an Infiniti dealership. An Audi was recouped from police after more than a week later.

In September, 80 luxurious vehicles were a piece of a planned Chicago robbery including four separate groups in the city. There is no word yet on whether all of the cases are related which the detectives have been focusing on. As of this point, no further updates have been released yet, and no arrests have been made in any of the cases.
