The recent announcement for the 2017 Kia Niro Hybrid has caused a lot of turmoil on the internet and several social media networks. One of the most talked-about aspects of the Kia Niro is how it makes its competitors look inferior.

According to Kia, the Niro Hybrid will be available at the base Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price (MSRP) of $23,785. For this price, buyers can get the 50mpg combined Niro FE with 16-inch wheels, keyless entry, Apple CarPlay for iOS users, Android Auto for Android users and a 7-inch touchscreen with rearview camera.

Drop in a little more cash and buyers will be able to get the LX version for $24,095. The LX version comes with a push-button start, LED rear lighting and roof rails. However, that's not all $24,095 can provide. It also offers the Advanced Technology Package.

For another $1,450, buyers will get forward the collision and lane departure warnings feature. Plus the autonomous emergency braking feature will also be included in the package.

For those looking for a real high-class upgrade can get the EX trim version at $26,595. This package comes with a leather-wrapped steering wheel and heated seats that are the epitome of luxury. LED daytime running lights will also be included in the package. As well as fog lights along with heated power folding mirrors.

Aside from all of these, the 2017 Kia Niro Hybrid also offers a few driver assistance features. This includes a blind spot detection, cool lane change assist, and a rear cross-traffic alert.

The Advanced Technology Package includes the power sunroof, the collision and lane departure warning, smart cruise control and autonomous emergency braking. On the other hand, the Launch Edition is also available for $28,895. Buyers can get to choose between the Aurora Black Pearl paint and Snow White.

This edition of the 2017 Kia Niro Hybrid also features a metallic grille and Hyper Gray 18-inch alloy wheels. Inside, there is an 8-inch touchscreen navigation system as well as an eight-speaker Harman Kardon sound system.

Finally, at $30,545, buyers can get the most expensive model - the Niro Touring. The Niro touring features a power sunroof, heated and ventilated seats, park assist, the Harman Kardon premium sound system and heated steering wheel.

Compared to the Toyota Prius, the base model of the 2017 Kia Niro Hybrid is $1,765 cheaper. However, most experts agree it does offer a lot more than the Prius can give.
