Lenovo unveiled the Yoga A12, the convertible Android tablet and stripped down its brother of the Yoga Book. This variation has a larger display and comes in a rose gold color option. But this tablet only comes in Android OS with 2GB of RAM.

When Lenovo released the Yoga Book, the tech world was stunned as it was an ultra-thin tablet that either runs on Windows 10 or Android. It features and focuses on its new pen-based interactions. Now, Lenovo is back with a table taking on the same design elements and ideas than on the Yoga Book but with a starting price of only $299.

Similar to the Yoga Book, it has also a 360-degree hinge, reports The Verge. This allows the user to flip the Yoga A12 over and use it as a tablet. It also features the unique Halo keyboard, a button-less and totally flat keyboard with backlit outlines and vibration from its haptic feedback guiding the user in typing. This means that this much cheaper 2-in-1 tablet will learn your typing habits as you use it.

The Yoga A12 runs on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow and boasts a 12.2-inch HD display. It is powered by Intel Atom X5 processor and packs 32GB of internal storage. Its RAM is only 2GB, though.

The drawback of the budget-friendly sibling is that it is stripped off the Wacom sketch pad that is supposedly built in its keyboard. Well, this is one of the reasons why this 2-in-1 tablet is a lot cheaper. CNET reports that the Lenovo Yoga A12 is 5.4 mm thin at the slimmest edge. It only weighs less than 1kg and made of aluminum and magnesium.

The Lenovo Yoga A12 will be available starting Feb. 8 on the company's official website. It comes in either gunmetal gray or rose gold color options. And its starting price for the base model is at $299.
