Bentley Continental Supersports: The Most Powerful Grand Tourer

Inspired by the track and definitely made for the road, the new Bentley Continental Supersports is the most powerful model ever produced. It takes phenomenal performance, handling and speed of the first generation to the new levels.

According to The Verge, Bentley Continental Supersports is the fastest accelerating car the Bentley Company has ever built. The six-liter twin turbo W12 engine is capable of 209mph top speed, and from 0 to 60 it takes only 3.4 seconds. All this is possible with its massive engine that puts out 700 horsepower and 750 lb-ft of torque.

The Bentley Continental Supersports convertible version is a little slower, it can do 0 to 60 in 3.7 seconds and has a top speed of 205mph. On the outside, the most noticeable feature is the rear spoiler made from carbon fiber that adds better and agile handling. Deliveries of the Bentley Continental Supersports will begin this fall. The price is still unknown. However, the standard Continental starts around $200,000.

Forbes reports that the director of interior design Romulus Rost wanted the car to express both extreme performance and ultimate luxury. The interior has a three color scheme and it’s packed with luxury materials like carbon fiber, Alcantara and Beluga. The race inspired luxury seats offer the level of comfort expected from a Bentley. The gearshift, the door panels, and the steering wheel are all made of Alcantara. The dashboard and the doors are made from specially designed carbon fiber.

Bentley Continental Supersports also comes with X Specification pack which has titanium exhaust option for a better audible experience. It also comes with duo-tone paint treatments, carbon door mirrors, heel plates and finish on the interior side panels, as well as the engine cover. Bentley has created only 710 of the beautiful Continental Supersports and they are expected to be delivered in July.
