The all new 2019 Chevrolet Silverado is still in the process of development these days and it's obvious that the company is doing their best to make sure that its protocols are very well hidden. However, spy photographers were able to provide photos of the vehicle. According to Autoblog, it was disguised like a Ford F-150.

The photos revealed that the truck was heavily covered from top to bottom and from front to rear that even small details on the car could not be seen. The truck was spied at the testing facility of General Motors. Some reports say that the concept to use aluminum will make the vehicle lighter and will improve the car's fuel economy.

Just like the current version, the 2019 Chevrolet Silverado captured on camera seems to be a crew-cab short-bed model. Additionally, the car's wheels seem to be squared off and the bumper comes with steps in the corner. Peeking through the truck's wheels, it's clear pretty clear that the model has rear leaf springs, and a setup used almost universally throughout the class except for Ram.

The truck was also heavily camouflaged making it very impossible to envision the truck's body design. Its headlights and rear light were also covered.

The most significant part of the car that people are very eager to know is what would be under the hood. Ford revealed in the past that a diesel V-6 option will be used for the F-150 and Ram providing the 1500 EcoDiesel since 2014.

 Seeing the company betting on diesel lately with their Cruze diesel and the new Equinox and Terrain, it's possible that the 2019 Chevrolet Silverado will be equipped with a six-cylinder diesel. It's also expected that the upcoming truck will have a variety of active safety features like forwarding blind-spot and also forward facing cameras.
