2016 was a very good year for Microsoft. 2017 is looking to be an even bigger one with fans eagerly waiting for the release of the new Microsoft Surface Pro 5 tablet.

Surface Pro 5 release. Fans of the Redmond-based tech giant cannot contain their excitement any longer as more and more speculations on possibly new Microsoft devices hit the internet. Users are anticipating the release of a possible Surface Pro 5 along with a speculated Surface Phone and even a Surface Smartwatch.

According to an article by news and information website Tech Times, fans are expecting a lot from the Microsoft Surface Pro 5. This is due to the fact that the Surface Pro 4 did not get any upgrades whatsoever for the tech giant during the past year.

New reports have surfaced offering new takes on the possible specs and features of Microsoft's Surface Pro 5. One feature is supposedly an upgraded display touchscreen panel with that will be more responsive and able to operate more fluidly and accurately with both fingers and the Surface Pen. The display could possibly have 4K resolution, too.

Fans are looking to a possible spring 2017 release of the Surface Pro 5 which coincides with the official release of Microsoft's Windows 10 Creators Update. Initially, many speculated that the delay of the Surface Pro 5 was due to Redmond-based tech giant waiting on the Intel Kaby Lake processor. Since the processor has been confirmed to already go into mass production, the only thing that is left to wait for is the Windows 10 Creators Update.

The Intel Kaby Lake processor is the biggest speculated feature of the Surface Pro 5. This is because it will be able to fix the issue that has long bothered Surface Pro 4 users - poor battery life.

There have also been leaks alleging that the Microsoft Surface Pro 5 will come with an upgraded Surface Pen with wireless charging capabilities. This is after news of a patent filed by Microsoft in the previous year.
