Super Bowl 2017 - Ticket Prices, Airline Tickets, Odds & Dates To Remember

It is indeed the greatest time of the year for die-hard Super Bowl fans as Super Bowl 2017 has officially kicked off. The Super Bowl Opening Night kicked off the event last January 30th and will continue until the live event on 5th of February.

Naturally, diehard Atlanta Falcons and New England Patriots fans are already prepping for the said event. Both teams will face off at 6:30 p.m on February 5 for Super Bowl LI at the NRG Stadium in Houston.

This will be the second Super Bowl appearance for the Falcons and the 10th appearance for the Patriots. As of Thursday, the prices of the tickets for the game were listed for $3,000 to $5,500 on StubHub's website.

Another ticketing website, TickPick, listed its cheapest ticket for the game at $3,169. TickPick CEO Brett Goldberg released a statement earlier this week, saying: "Since the Falcons weren't really an expected Super Bowl team, it's tough to forecast the direction of prices, Atlanta is close to Houston and if the fan base travels in numbers, that very well can keep prices stable."

Naturally, it is the biggest event of the year and tickets won't be cheap. The same can be said for airline tickets going to Houston. Just for the event, Southwest Airlines is adding more flights from Atlanta and Boston into Houston on Friday, Feb. 3 and Monday, February 6.

As of Thursday, the airline listed fares around $445 for a round-trip. Atlanta-based Delta Airlines also listed airfares from Boston for as low as $1,226 round trip and $978 from Atlanta as of January 26.

It is also important to remember that Houston is the fourth largest city in the United States - therefore, it won't be an easy navigation for tourists. With the city's population and the increase of tourists due to Super Bowl 2017, the traffic will even be more hectic - according to reports.

As this is the week of the Super Bowl 2017, it is expected that the city will be host to plenty of activities and events to celebrate. This means no matter where fans go, there will be celebrations, booze and lots of debate as to who is the better team.
