Bigger "Star Wars Battlefront 2" will feature more locations and heroes from various "Star Wars" saga to play with. Electronic Arts CEO Andrew Wilson discussed the upcoming game sequel which is set to release anytime between September and December.
During the Electronic Arts' third quarter fiscal 2017 earnings call, CEO Andrew Wilson shared about their successful third quarter. The minutes of the meeting was documented and posted where Andrew Wilson mentioned several of its popular console titles which include "FIFA 17," "Battlefield 1," "Titanfall 2," "Star Wars: Galaxy of Heroes," and the "Madden NFL Mobile."
The CEO also discussed their future plans as they move towards the fourth quarter. Andrew Wilson revealed they are excited to release the highly anticipated games like the "Mass Effect: Andromeda" on March 21 and the "Star Wars Battlefront 2" in the holiday season.
According to Andrew Wilson, they have taken note of the requests of their beloved "Star Wars Battlefront" community for "more depth and progression" in the game. In response to this, the CEO teased that the upcoming "Star Wars Battlefront 2" will be bigger than the first sequel. In fact, Electronic Arts have partnered with three other huge studios - DICE, Motive, and Criterion - to create an outstanding gaming experience in the new "Star Wars Battlefront 2."
The second sequel offers new ways to play. Gamers will now be able to play via an all-new-single-player campaign. The CEO also revealed that the new sequel will also take gamers to play in more locations where they can also play with more "Star Wars" characters and heroes from various eras of the franchise.
In the earnings call, Andrew Wilson mentioned "The Force Awakens" and "Rogue One" films were instrumental in expanding the series. Is the CEO hinting that the upcoming "Star Wars Battlefront 2" will also contain characters and locations from these two mentioned films?
Meanwhile, Forbes predicts that the upcoming "Star Wars Battlefront 2" will be similar to "Battlefield 1." The latter earned significant applause due to its single-player campaign and since the former will now feature the same campaign, the publication believes the two games will have similarities as well.
