Gamestop Unexpectedly Confirmed Far Cry 5 Series Release Date

Ubisoft's Far Cry series, Far Cry 5 release date unexpectedly revealed at Gamestop's PlayStation 4 Software Upcoming Release list. The source claims that the game series will be released November 26, 2017. This claim is not yet confirmed by Ubisoft itself, therefore, fans should take this with a grain of salt.

SGG Gaming confirms the allegation regarding Far Cry 5 release date through contacting Gamestop using the game's SKU code. The Gamestop employee confirms that the said SKU is indeed attached to Far Cry 5, and confirms that it is indeed part of the November 2017 releases. Does that mean the said release date is true?

The source also did a two separate email for Gamestop's support department to further confirm the allegation. The source received a response saying "Unfortunately we are out of stock of Far Cry 5 for the PS4 and can't guarantee more stock will be made available again to us from the vendor." The source also stated that the information is classified as rumor, and no other sources support the claim.

Fans have been anticipating the comeback of Far Cry series. Far Cry 4 was released back in 2014, and it was followed by a spin-off called Far Cry: Primal. Although fans knew that a modern action is coming, yet the game developer seems to take time much too long. The first Far Cry 5 release date prediction was November 2016, but Ubisoft surprised its fans with a spin-off game instead.

In previous reports, Ubisoft VP of editorial, Tommy François stated that Far Cry 5 might slip back to 2018. This is because the developers are currently adding more quality, and polishing incredible contents. Fans were a bit worried about Tommy's statement, yet the company assured the Far Cry 5 is coming soon.
