Sony Xperia XA 2017 Design Leak: Video Reveals Prototype With Android 7.0 And 23MP Camera

Details for the Sony Xperia XA 2017 has allegedly leaked through a YouTube video. The prototype of the anticipated new flagship has made an earlier debut through the said video unveiling its designs and features.

Sony has not released any official statement regarding the release date for the anticipated  Sony Xperia XA 2017. The company has just distributed its press invites for the upcoming Mobile World Congress scheduled to start on Feb. 27 but remains mum on the list of new flagships that they have prepared to launch on the said event.

Despite the scarcity of spoilers from Sony, many believe that the new Xperia XA will be featured in the upcoming MWC. It seems that the speculations may find some light as the video is now showing the new flagship in the flesh.

It appears that the new flagship is quite taller than the previous. Looking at the video posted by TechLoverHD on YouTube, one can spot the variance on the bezels on top and bottom of the screen, which are slightly bigger than its predecessor Sony Xperia XA 2017. Similarly, the new handset has thin bezels on the two sides of the screen, as found in its predecessor.

The video also shows that the new handset sports a slot for micro SD card on the right side. The device featured in the clip has a plastic, black, matte rear.

Furthermore, as the video progresses, the hand manipulating the handset ticks on the phone status of the handset. Upon clicking, the details reveal that the new Sony Xperia XA will run with Android 7.0.

The camera features were also shown in the video. The new handset sports a 23-megapixel camera in full HD. It was emphasized in the clip that the new handset also has an auto-capturing feature for its video shots.

Meanwhile, an earlier report claims an alleged leaked renders for the Sony Xperia XA 2017 reveal the color variants of the new flagship. The image shows four variants: silver, blue, dark gray and red, Android Authority reported.
