78 cars are reportedly enlisted in the upcoming RM Sotheby's Paris auction to be held on Feb. 8 at the Retromobile show. The highly anticipated auction features extremely rare and pricey automobiles. Below are several supercars to feast on in the upcoming auction.

1988 PORSCHE 959 SPORT estimated at $1,600,000 (about €1,500,000 - €2,000,000). This superstar from the 80's is incomparable. Nothing came close in terms of performance during its launch as it was said to have the brilliant four-wheel drive, adjustable suspension, magnesium alloy wheels and tire pressure sensors.

1983 RENAULT 5 TURBO 2 estimated at $80,000 (around €75,000 - €95,000). This superstar from the 80's is a rear-wheel drive with a turbocharged 1.4-liter engine. The car in the auction has traveled only less than 10,000 miles for its lifetime.

1970 PORSCHE 917/10 PROTOTYPE estimated at $5M (around €4,600,000 - €5,500,000). This legendary sports car has competed in various kinds of motorsport. This is also considered the first 917 Can-Am Spyder produced among the 13 prototypes built with a 5.0-liter 12-cylinder engine producing 600 bhp.

1952 VOLKSWAGEN TYPE 1 BEETLE estimated at $60,000 (approximately €55,000 - €80,000). This classic beetle was first used in Sweden. This 65-year old car is reportedly stored for more than 50 years and has done 48,000 miles and survived winter in Sweden. The auctioned car also comes with a pair of wooden skis for a bonus.

1941 JAGUAR SS 100 estimated at $410,000 (about €385,000 - €445,000). This classic two-seater Jaguar first came out during the Second World War. The convertible sports a 2.6-liter straight 6 engine which is able to produce 102 bhp. This historic car is reportedly among the last vehicle from its remnants.

1934 ALFA ROMEO TIPO B P3 estimated at $4M (about €3,800,000 - €5,000,000). Grand Prix enthusiasts can recall this legendary sports car which weighs only around 701kg. This is another milestone in the car industry as it is the first to sport a monoposto coachwork configuration.

Meanwhile, the auction does not only feature very old models. The show also includes recent cars as young as one year old.

2016 PORSCHE 911 R estimated at $500,000 (€450,000 - €650,000). Surprisingly, this supercar is already included in an auction of legendary cars. It was also a big shock to car enthusiasts as the vehicle, which is considered to be an "absolute perfection," is already being offered with a dropped down price tag this soon.
