The latest version of WhatsApp Messenger on the iOS now allows users to automatically send out messages when offline. Version 2.17.2 of the messaging app conveniently queues the message for sending even without a connection.

WhatsApp Messenger version 2.17.2. Before, when a phone doesn't have a connection, either a data or Wi-Fi connection, messages that are sent via previous versions do not go through just like on any other messaging app. This now changes with version 2.17.2 of the messaging app.

Technically, even without a connection, you are able to tap on the send button. The message is then queued for sending out once the phone establishes a data or Wi-Fi connection.

The advantage of this feature from the new version of the messaging app is that users no longer need to go back to the unsent message to have it manually sent it over once a connection is established. This can pretty much be a hassle as users would need to keep tabs on all of their unsent messages and send them out one by one.

Along with this new feature is an updated design of the storage usage screen that lets users manage storage and clearing videos off from chat conversations. In addition, users are now able to send up to 30 photos or videos at a time. This updated feature only allowed users to send 10 photos or videos in one go.

Android users have long used this feature since it was launched back in June of 2016. There is no reason why it has taken this long to get this feature over to the iOS platform.

To take advantage of this feature, users just need to the Apple App Store and update their WhatsApp Messenger from there. First-time installations will automatically download the latest version onto the phone.
