It's been on the news from the past many months that Aston Martin will be launching its new 2018 Vanquish S Volante convertible and finally, it's been revealed by the company. The company said that the car will showcase a non-turbo V12 engine that might be the last ones to be assembled in the car.

Like the coupe, the new convertible will have some new aerodynamic elements, uprated suspension and a unique quad-trip arrangement for the exhaust system. The car will be equipped with a 5.9-liter V-12 that is tuned to produce 580 horsepower and paired with an 8-speed automated manual transmission.

The automaker said that the transmission was changed specifically for the Vanquish S to produce faster shifts and greater refinement at low speeds. Aston Martin's coupes can go 0-62 mph in just 3.5 seconds and a top speed of 201 mph. But no further details yet was given on the convertible's numbers but they should be the same.

The car will showcase a maximum output of an RPM of 7,000 with a torque of 465 lb-ft. It also features an internal structure made from a mix of aluminum and carbon fiber. Body panels are also made up of carbon fiber while the door is cast magnesium.

As standard, the car comes with a 20-inch 10-spoke gloss black cast-aluminum wheels, carbon fiber mirror arms, titanium hood mesh, bright accents around the window and on its exhaust tips, and Alcantara and Strathmore leather interior. Customers will have optional features such as a steering wheel from the One-77, a choice of four 20-inch wheel designs (two 10 spoke and two five-spoke), painted brake calipers, a graphics pack, and a variety of black or carbon-fiber accents.

Aston Martin confirmed that the Vanquish S and the S Volante convertible will appear in showrooms in April. With a price tag of $294,950 and $312,950 respectively.
