Verizon announced today after weeks of speculation that they will be offering the Samsung Galaxy Camera started Dec. 13. The Android camera will be sold for $549.99 in a white and black version according to Verizon.

The news comes a month after a Samsung Galaxy Camera was released through At&T in November for $499.99. This past August Samsung showed off the device for the first time at an IFA Trade Show in Berlin according to PC Magazine.

The main feature included on the camera is a 4.8-inch HD touch screen located on the back. The new Galaxy camera includes a 21x optical zoom lens and a 16-megapixel BSI CMOS sensor according to Samsung.

The camera also features a slow motion video camera that allows users to record at 120 frames per second with 720x480 resolution. Around 65 editing features will be available for users with the new camera, allowing you to edit pictures quicker than ever before without having to wait until your home to use devices like Photoshop or Photobucket to edit pictures.

The Galaxy camera can also connect to 3G/ 4G or Wi-Fi according to the Samsung site. Easy connectivity lets users take photos and email them to friends or post them onto social networking devices like Twitter and Instagram easier than ever.

You can also add your camera to your Verizon "Share Everything" account for a limited time deal of just $5 a month.
