The first of many Windows 10 Creators Update features from Microsoft has been released for the Xbox One gaming console via the Xbox Insider program. The update provides the gaming console a redesigned Home Screen, a more responsive Guide, and a Copilot mode for the kids.

Windows 10 Creators Update for the Xbox One. It is only fitting that Microsoft updated the Xbox One being one of the three major platforms of the tech giant. The update focuses on the gaming console's functionality with a few improvements to its interface.

The new home screen still highlights the last game played on the console much like the current build of the Xbox One. The updated home screen, however, engages you to explore related content, interact with clubs, and join groups aside from having a much faster user interface.

The Guide which is accessed via the Xbox button is more intuitive. The update allows you to access recently played games as well as pins.

Microsoft had previously announced that it will be incorporating more of Cortana into its gaming console as a personal gaming buddy. Cortana will be able to keep tabs on a gamer's calendar and will be able to send out notifications on the next raid, for example. Gamers should expect a few more improvements to Cortana's capabilities care of future updates.

The current build annoyingly disables gameplay until an update finishes downloading and installing when on low power Energy Saving Mode. The Windows 10 Creators Update now allows gamers to keep games, applications, and the console itself up-to-date regardless of the power mode the console is on.

The new Copilot Mode enables parents to plays games with their kids in a collaborative setting. It basically allows two controllers to act as one which gives parents the opportunity to let their young children play games the way they want it played. Think of it as a real-time practical application of lessons in gaming.

The update brings improvements to the Xbox One audio experience. The improvements are in the form of settings that allow a gamer to add Dolby Atmos for Home Theater and Dolby Atmos for Headphones to a game or streaming media application. One can also add Windows HRTF support.
