The Honda dealers in the United States have a good start in 2017. They are celebrating the redesigned Honda CR-V and the third straight year of record sales for Honda Division is coming.
According to Auto News, Jim Lake, the CEO of Vern Eide Motorcars who is also the chairman of the Honda National Dealer Advisory Board said that the dealer part was pretty happy. Jim Lake also said that this has been the best product lineup he has seen since 1985. Some regional and local economies are behind the curve including the Dakotas. They have had an energy boom and bust, but the national picture is good for the Honda brand.
Of course, dealers always want more units of popular models to sell especially light trucks because they are very popular in the United States. Honda’s CEO said they are especially fired up for the redesigned CR-V which just reached his two Honda stores in South Dakota in the middle of a snowstorm. One car can represent up to 30% of the total monthly deliveries in the winter, particularly in the Snow Belt that runs through the upper half of the country.
Honda has completely redesigned its CR-V for 2017 and it will have even more room, Auto News reported. However, the giant carmaker declined to reveal some creative details. They are also planning an interesting ad but they haven’t commented on it yet. The assistant vice president of Honda auto marketing, Susie Rossick said that the Super Bowl would be the appropriate stage to show America to the bold and sophisticated new Honda CR-V.
The Super Bowl is a platform which is befitting the CR-V’s status as the best-selling SUV in America. This is also the perfect place to celebrate CR-V’s 20th anniversary. This year Honda is making a bid to build momentum for the redesigned CR-V. This car appeared on the marketplace on December 21 featuring the model’s first-ever turbocharged engine. Honda sold 319.557 CR-Vs in the first 11 months of 2016 which is up to 1.6% from the same period in 2015.
