Spy Photos Captures 2018 Hyundai i30 And It's Not A Hatch

The Korean automaker had recently announced that they would be creating N performance models soon. In compliance of the said announcement, the 2018 Hyundai i30 would be the first installment of the franchise would be distinct from its usual design - it would not be a hatchback.

The 2018 Hyundai i30 N model was out for a test drive this week and spy shots caught what seemed to be a non-hatchback version of the model. Although it was heavily camouflaged, it was apparent from the car's exterior body that the first among the N models is not a hatchback. In fact, the higher-performance vehicle would have an improved powertrain than its predecessor reported Hyundai Blog.  

The Specs. The latest model was seen to have larger brakes with red calipers which suggested that the vehicle would have extra stopping power. It likewise hinted that the model could go from 240-260 hp. The power output was linked to as good as the Ford Focus ST and Ford Golf GTI. With respect to its aggressive body kit, the vehicle was seen with upgraded steering features and suspension set-ups. Its tires were also installed with high-performance features along with twin-exit exhaust system and other sportier add-ons. The vehicle was forecasted to have a six-speed manual transmission for its standard version which could enter the luxury automobile market segment.

The i30 Family. In other news, Motor 1 reported that the spotted 2018 Hyundai i30 model is the fourth in the franchise composing of the wagon and hatchback versions. Other than the model, the brand would likewise feature a fastback version which will have a sloped roofline similar to the hatchback version.

The 2018 Hyundai i30 model was set to be released by next year. Like the upcoming fastback version of the franchise, both models were expected to be luxurious and pricier than its predecessors.
