Last Sunday, Sebastian Vettel redeemed his title as the Nations Cup champion in Miami. With an equal playing field against his competitors, the race car driver was made to compete alone against two-person teams in the competition. Nevertheless, Vettel reigned supreme.

Racing Alone. During the Nations Cup, Sebastian Vettel's partner in the two-person team race, Pascal Wehrlein, had to retire from the race when he wrecked his automobile during an individual competition last Saturday. Made to race alone, Vettel went head to head against Kurt and Kyle Bursch in the final round but proved himself to be solely capable of bringing home the championship title, reported Jalopnik. Apart from the Germany team, Hello Castroneves, the driver for the Team Latin America, also had to race alone as his partner, RoC Factor graduate Gabriel Glusman had to retire when he crashed during the first heat.

Playing for the Germany team, Vettel raced to the finish with ease, winning all four heats by himself before he beat Colombian duo Montoya and Gabby Chaves during the semi-final rounds. As the race continued on to the final, the USA Team NASCAR almost beat Vettel off but failed to do so with only a 1.12s. margin against Kurt while having a 0.44s lead against Kyle during the Global Rallycross Championship Supercar Lites, reported Auto Sport.

The Champion's Career. The win was not Vettel's first championship title. In fact, Germany had won seven RoC Nations Cup with him and legendary racer Michael Schumacher from years 2007 through 2012. Like the Nations Cup 2017 results, the USA and Germany team had been the top racers to go for the gold throughout the years.

 With a tight finish during the Nations Cup 2017, Sebastian Vettel, once again, claimed victory over the US Busch team. Despite racing alone in a two-team race, Vettel won with only a fraction of a second against the challenger.
