It’s confirmed! The Porsche Panamera 2017 is under works and is being developed as a Sport Turismo Wagon. Like most sedans, when a vehicle is upgraded to a wagon version, the specs turn out to be better than its predecessors.
The Specs. Per Dr. Stefan Utsch, the director of sales and marketing for the Porsche Panamera 2017 model, the vehicle would improve from a four-door sedan into a five-door “shooting break” wagon version. First previewed at the 2016 Geneva Motor Show, the Sport Turismo Wagon would have exterior and interior designs similar to that of the 2012 concept, reported Jalopnik.
The said design had been described to be sharp by Porsche CEO Oliver Blume. In fact, it was to be the market competition for competitors such as the Ferrari GTC4 Lusso but with higher usability. Furthermore, it would be structured to conform European consumer preference with its long-roof body style and will be a counterpart of the brand’s hybrid and electric models in years to come.
In other news, Car Magazine reported that the model will have an estate-style tailgate, a Porsche rear light bar trademark feature, and will have a long-wheelbase Executive form.
What Consumers Can Expect. Although the Panamera 2017 Sport Turismo Wagon version had been announced, the company has not yet disclosed a possibility of creating a coupe version. However, it was revealed that the automaker has not ruled out this possibility as they are currently creating electric cars at present. The coupe model, therefore, could be an electric or hybrid model in the future.
The brand new Porsche Panamera 2017 Sport Turismo Wagon was created by the automaker to address consumer reviews that suggested its earlier version was too small. With that, the latest version had been upgraded to embody greater space capacity and would be the challenger of the Ferrari GTC4 Lusso in the automobile market.
