Apple Pencil 2 Can Work On iPad, iPhone And On The Upcoming MacBook Pro? Watch Out For A March Release!

Your new Apple Pencil 2 will most likely come this Spring! Reports say that the second generation pencil is so versatile you can use it on your iPhone, iPad as well as on the upcoming MacBook Pro.

Apple is reportedly set to launch its second generation pencil this March. Aside from this new pencil, the Cupertino company is allegedly set to unveil the highly anticipated 10.5-inch iPad Pro too. The announcement was spotted on a Chinese website Wei Feng, which speculates that March is also a good chance for an iPad update as there has been no new variant since it was launched two years ago.

The upcoming Apple Pencil 2 will most likely sport magnets to enable it to cling onto the iPad. Mashable explained that this theory stemmed from a previous report where Apple allegedly filed for a patent certification for a stylus that contains magnets which will connect it to the side of the tablet.

Furthermore, the new pencil can also come with the wireless charging feature. The report says it can probably be connected into the Smart Connector which will allow wireless charging.

Another theory for the features of the upcoming Apple Pencil 2 points to its ability to work with the trackpad of a laptop. The publication noted that Apple was already granted a patent for such stylus. It was also pointed out that the latest MacBook Pro has huge trackpads. Hence, the second generation pencil is expected to work on the MacBook Pro as well.

In another report, the Apple Pencil 2 is predicted to come out with a clip. TechRadar says the new pencil can have a clip on its side to allow it to hang on the user's pocket and can also act as a stopper to prevent the pen from rolling away. This could be one solution to fix the problem of the Apple pencil for not having its own home in the iPad Pro.
