Chrysler Debuts 2013 Town & Country S Minivan, Modern Design Constructed For ‘Style Minded’ Customers

Chrysler showcased their new 2013 Town & Country S models at the Los Angeles Auto Show this week for the first time ever.The company also released the new exterior and interior designs that help make the Town & Country S model more of a modern vehicle then people would expect.  

"We tailored the new Town & Country S for the active and style minded consumers. It's the downtown style for the Town & Country's uptown looks," said Saad Chehab, President and CEO of Chrysler Brand, Chrysler Group LLC in the company press release. "It's more than fitting that we unveil this vehicle in Los Angeles given Town & Country S represents yet another modern take of '313' in the '310.'"

Chrysler states that the car will use a 3.6-liter Pentastar V-6 engine which produces 283 horsepower and 260 pound-feet of torque. The engine has been named to the past two "Ward's 10 Best Engine" lists according to the company. The v-6 engine will be mated to a 62TE six-speed automatic transmission and will achieve 17 miles per gallon in the city, 25 mpg on the highway.  

The vehicle includes an exclusive Blu-Ray DVD player with HDMI input and two USB ports which are capable of recharging devices or allows customers to use many different media devices for example.

"The Chrysler brand's succession of innovative product introductions continues to solidify the brand's standing as the leader in design, engineering and value," said a Chrysler representative in the press release. "The premium for the Chrysler brand is in the product, not the price." 

The new vehicle will also contain over 40 different safety and technology features led by the SafetyTec device which assists with a number of "industry-leading features including ParkView rear back-up camera, Blind-spot Monitoring and Rear Cross Path detection" according to the company press release. The car is also equipped for a high-definition video game system by using the vehicle's improved television screen monitors.

The vehicle will be available in a number of assorted colors like Brilliant Black, Stone White, Billet Silver, and Cherry Red. Customers can expect 17-inch aluminum wheels with polished face and black-painted pockets.

The 2013 vehicles will be produced in Chrysler's Windsor Assembly Plant in Windsor, Ontario, Canada. The vehicle will be sold at a base price of $32,990.
