Faraday Future Showcases The FF91 As The Most Advanced Electric Vehicle

Faraday Future has shown their FFZERO1 sports-car fantasy during the 2016 CES technology show that took place in Las Vegas. Now, the automotive start-up technology company is up again on the center stage with its revelation of FF91, the most advanced EV ever.

The FF91 model was introduced to the public in a live demo. It runs around a car park and into an empty space. Footages were pre-recorded that showed the car's acceleration from standstill to reaching 60mph in just 2.39 seconds compared to the fastest model from Tesla that has a record of 2.5 seconds.

Later on the presentation, Jia Yueting showed the audiences the vehicle's self-parking feature on stage but failed to do so as the car remained stationary. Yeuting on the other hand, is a Chinese billionaire and the LeEco's chief executive, smartphone and video on demand maker that has invested in Faraday.

As the car was not able to respond on Yeuting's demonstration, senior vice president of Faraday Nick Sampson joked and said that it seems like it's a little bit lazy tonight. This time, they made a second attempt and was eventually successful that brought amazement on the audience.

The FF91 is an all-electric SUV. With Faraday's extensible VPA (Variable Platform Architecture), the new sports car emits a shadow that has a similarity to Ford's Expedition whenever seated on the wheelbase that measures 7 inches longer than Ford's.

Similar to the Model X, the new sports car is also equipped with power-opening doors with sensors that avoid scuffing. It also has a big screen like a tablet that is placed in the middle of the two front seats. According to some enthusiast, if Tesla has welcomed the given benefits of today's touchscreen technology, Faraday Future, on the other hand, is totally embracing it.

Buyers were also informed that they'll be connected to the said car in a virtual FFID account. The company has planned to release the electric car model FF91 in 2018 that would require a refundable $5,000 for pre-order.
