In an issue to extend battery life, the updated beta of MacOS Sierra beta showcases a new option to the MacBook Pro's battery menu that will reduce the brightness of the display if it is above 75 percent. The new "Display Brightness" warning is found on the "Using Significant Energy" drop down from the battery icon in the menu bar.

The MacOS Sierra beta warns the user when the display is drawing significant energy. Also, if the brightness is set to full, Sierra beta will notify the users that battery is draining.

Apple updated a new MacBook Pro to the fourth beta of MacOS Sierra 10.12.3 and it was published online on the Apple Insider. The display brightness was lowered to 75 percent and the same brightness level used during the latest MacBook Pro battery tests.

As noted on Beta News, the fourth beta of MacOS Sierra 10.12.3 warns the users when a particular app is using a lot of power. This latest beta version advised users to lower the setting that will help save the power to a safe zone.

Many users claimed that Apple's MacBook Pro have a battery life of 10 hours, however, it has been reported that MacBook is not lasting for that time duration. The recent fix for the Safari bug has addressed the battery issue and the initial tests discover that a hidden setting in Safari affects the battery life.  

Apple fixed the bug in MacOS Sierra 10.12.3 and this new feature is currently limited to beta testers. Apple addressed the battery life-related issues and MacOS Sierra 10.12.3 will be widely available soon. The company also revealed that the new MacOS Sierra beta improves the stability of your MacBook Pro.

Apple has a similar feature in iOS called "Low Power" mode. Previously, Apple introduced it in iOS 9 which "Low Power" mode will minimize an iOS device's brightness when the battery drops below 20 percent. Apple ensures users to get the most out of their products.
