The Internet Is Buzzing About The iPhone 8 - Here Are All The Details So Far

Forget iPhone 7 and the iPhone 7 Plus - those are things from the past. Everybody is going crazy over the latest iPhone 8.

This is mostly due to the fact that the iPhone 8 is the most different compared to Apple's prior iPhone models. Earlier this week, a German website revealed highly detailed concepts for the anticipated phone. This has caused a frenzy amongst Apple users.

As shown in the photo, the front of the phone has no physical home button. It is an all-glass front that goes almost edge to edge. It has curved edges, but the front and the back are both made of glass while being framed in stainless steel.

According to reports, the iPhone 8 will come in six finishes which is yet to be revealed. It also features a 5.8-inch AMOLED display. Of course, Apple's competitors have already utilized the OLED display before. But this is the first time Apple has used the technology.

The AMOLED display is expected to offer better contrast, improved colors and more. As it is an all-glass front screen, the front camera, Touch ID fingerprint sensor will be embedded into the screen.

Apple Insider recently reported about the cool new features the iPhone 8 could potentially have. The report reads, "Arcuri also expects Apple will add some form of facial and gesture recognition to the flagship "iPhone X," powered by a laser sensor, an infrared sensor near the front-facing camera, and wireless charging. However, no new details on any of these were provided in the latest report."

With this in mind, Apple's competitors are getting worried about sales and OLED stocks. Yahoo recently reported that several of Apple's rivals (who are based in China) are worried Apple will consume all the available OLED display.

This has caused several companies to rush and secure production capacity for small and mid-sized OLED panels. It is clear that Apple is not only causing a commotion amongst fans, it is also causing some panic for its rivals.
