After months of endless waiting, fans of the American multinational automaker Ford has finally released more details about the 2018 Ford Mustang. After some leaks, the 2018 Ford Mustang is now official.
From an outside perspective, the car looks even more muscular. It was also reported that there will be new advanced tech features.
The exterior of the 2018 Mustang will have a few adjustments when it comes to lightings. The front hood will get a new hood and grille. Plus, the whole Mustang line will now feature LED headlights.
At the back, there will also be LED taillights. The bumper will be slightly adjusted. As expected, the exhaust tips will also increase.
As for the performance, the 2018 Ford Mustang will have the Mustang's Performance Package which adds magnetorheological shocks. This feature adjusts damping forces whenever the conditions of the road changes.
Reports also say that all models will feature the updated shock absorbers and sway bars. As for the sound, this sweet ride can roar - thanks to its new active exhaust system.
For those who are wondering, the 3.7-liter V6 engine will not be associated with the 2018 Mustang lineup. Instead, the entry-level engine of this pony becomes a turbocharged 2.3-liter EcoBoost four-cylinder.
If that is not enough, the option to step up to the GT model is available. It's powered by the Blue Oval's 5.0-liter Coyote V8. It will deliver better gas mileage and provide more power all thanks to the new system which combines port and direct fuel injection.
A six-speed manual transmission will also be available for both models, as well as Ford's new 10-speed automatic. There will be brand new equipment inside which includes a 12-inch digital LCD dashboard screen. Buyers will have the option to customize it for Normal, Sport and Track Models.
As expected, the Mustang will have the Sync 3 infotainment system offered with Sync Connect. This will allow the car owners to lock, unlock, locate and even start their ponies using their phones.
More cool features are added to help the driver. This includes autonomous emergency braking, forward collision warning, lane-keep assist and lane-departure warning. Unfortunately, the price for the 2018 Ford Mustang has yet to be announced. But it is expected to go on sale worldwide in the fall.
