2017 Hyundai Sonata Review: Spacious, Comfortable, and Well-Rounded Midsize Family Sedan

The 2017 Hyundai Sonata is spacious, comfortable, and well-rounded. Visit a Hyundai dealership to avail of this best-selling midsize family sedan.

Pros and Features. The Sonata is a car with a spacious interior and comfortable seats. The suspension has also been enhanced to make the ride less bumpy.

The car also features a great user-friendly navigation/infotainment interface. Additionally, the car has superb crash test ratings and the engine has a ten-year warranty.

All Sonatas are front-wheel drive and have six-speed A/T with the exception of the Eco. Since its redesign, the Sonata is a wonderful choice for a family car. It's roomy and has very good safety and tech features. It is very well-rounded overall and is very worth the price.

Cons. Unlike most of its competitors, the Sonata has less rear legroom. Additionally, its optional turbocharged engine doesn't deliver the same performance as most competitors.

What's New? The 2017 Hyundai sedan has the same standard and optional features. There are no significant changes for this year's model.

Models. The 2017 Hyundai Sonata is available in 8 models: Base, SE, Sport, Eco, Limited, Sport 2.0T, Limited 2.0T, and Hybrid. In order to get a full comparison, it would be best to read individual reviews or visit a Hyundai dealership.

The Base model has 16-inch alloy wheels, cruise control, full power accessories, and other tech features. The SE adds automatic headlights, a bigger 7-inch touchscreen display, a rearview camera, and Android Auto and Apple CarPlay smartphone integration.

The Sport and Eco models have added LED daytime running lights and a simulated leather cabin. The Eco has a fuel-efficient engine while the Sport has a sportier looking exterior. The Sport also has a Value Edition package for other premium additions.

The Limited has the same features as the Sport but with carbon fiber accents and a more refined look. The Sport 2.0T has a more powerful engine and other exterior upgrades. The range-topper is the Limited 2.0T. It has premium safety features and several technology features from the Limited model and the Sport's Tech package.

Pricing. The base model has an MSRP of $23,050 while the SE is $23,400. The Eco and Sport are both priced at $24,580. The top of the line Limited starts at $28,335.

Verdict. The 2017 Hyundai Sonata is a great car. It's affordable, comfortable, and has a lot of different options and upgrades. Visit the nearest Hyundai dealership to check it out in person to fully appreciate it.
