Ford's all-new GT is a supercar that has an ultra-high-performance. This car is a technology showcase for Ecoboost accomplishments, carbon fiber construction (lightweight) and aerodynamics. The production started in late 2016.

GT is one of Ford's 12 new vehicles that will be out on 2020. The power line-up includes F-150 Raptor, Shelby GT350, Focus RS, and Shelby GT350R. It has all-new features such as a rear wheel drive, sleek, mid-mounted engine, two door coupe shell with a stunning work on the car body, and aerodynamic.

The car highlights its twin -turbo 3.5 liters V-6 and making more than 600 hp and its seven-speed dual clutch automatic. According to Ford's vice president for global product development, Raj Nair, "The GT is the ultimate execution of an enthusiast supercar," said Raj Nair, Ford group vice president, Global Product Development. "

Recently, Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has released an official rate of fuel mileage for the Ecoboost-powered Ford GT. The supercar got the rate of 11/18, 11 mpg in the city and 18 mpg on the highway with 14 mpg for combined average. The given rate was just a bit less compared to Ford GT 2005 model which was rated 12/19 mpg.

As for the supercar competition, GT beats 2017 Lamborghini Aventador LP740-4 with fuel mileage of 10/16 mpg but falls out of Ferrari's 488 GTB 15/22 mpg and Mclaren's 650S 16/22mpg. On the other hand, the 2017 hybrid Acura NSX is hard to set aside with its 21/22 mpg rating.

Some car enthusiast finds the figure surprising most especially for Ford's GT despite providing the supercar with an Ecoboost engine. According to EPA, the fuel economy rating for the new GT has an estimated $8,000 expenses for the fuel alone compared to an average car. With the said GT's rating, they will have to participate on the mandated gas guzzler tax that has an estimated amount ranging from $2,000 to $3,000.
