World War Z Trailer Released, Brad Pitt vs. Zombies At The End Of The World (VIDEO)

After a long wait, the world finally got a sneak peak at the new movie "World War Z" on Friday when the first official trailer debuted online for the movie based on the best-selling zombie novel.

The movie will be released on June 21, 2013.

In the trailer, we see Brad Pitt, who stars as Gerry Lane, sitting in his car with his wife and two daughters. Everything seems to be going fine until all of a sudden everyone around them starts to panic.

From crashing helicopters to exploding buildings the movie certainly won't lack excitement. What will make this movie stand out compared to other movies where the world is ending is the reasoning: zombies.

The critically acclaimed book features over 20 different people and how they are dealing with the zombocalypse but it is unknown which character in the book Pitt's will be playing.

Most people believe that the Lane character is supposed to be the character Brooks wrote for himself in World War Z, a U.N. reporter putting a report together about the war against the zombies.

Director Marc Forster, who previously directed movies like "Quantum of Solace" and "Finding Neverland" made headlines earlier this year after reports got out of him requiring a number of rewrites and reshoots for the movie.

The reshoots and rewrites caused Paramount's initial release date of December 2012 to be moved back until next summer.
