HTC - along with its supporters - is already getting ready for it's 'U' event this coming January 12. The company recently sent out several invites to the media for the said event.
As reports would have it, HTC will be unveiling its 'U' series which includes three new smartphones. These would be the HTC U Ultra (Ocean Note), HTC U Play (Alpine) and One X10.
In a tweet, OnLeaks revealed that HTC U Play will have 5.2-inch screen size, and it won't have a 3.5 mm headphone jack. The same can be said for the HTC U Ultra, which will have a slightly bigger screen size with 6-inch display.
OnLeaks itself admitted that these speculations are still unverified by the Taiwanese company. On the other hand, it was reported that the HTC One X10 will have a 5.5-inch full HD Display that is 1080 x 1920 pixels.
Both HTC U-Play and One X10 are expected to ship in Q1 this year. On Twitter, Evan Blass also posted a video with the caption that reads, "Remember the HTC Ocean?".
In the video, HTC's Vive-branded smartphone was revealed. It is expected to come with an all-new, simplified user interface which will help make accessing all recent apps easier and faster. It is also speculated that apps can now be controlled using the buttons on both the left and right sides of the phone. In the teaser, it was also hinted that the Ocean smartphone will be equipped with a top-notch front camera for better selfies - much to the audience's delight. As some fans would recall, HTC Note was proclaimed to be a high-end phablet (phone-tablet) which will feature a curved screen with premium quality cameras. Blass also reported about the One X10. According to him, the phone will run an octa-core MT6755V/C processor clocked at 1.9 GHz with Mali T860 graphics.
Not only that, but this smartphone will have 3GB RAM and 32GB internal storage. The rear camera boasts 16.3 megapixels and 7.9-megapixel front camera. As reports would have it. HTC is also working towards better smartphones for the future.
