The 2017 Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas has closed, packed up, and the audience has gone home. Yet that hasn't stopped CyberPowerPC from launching a new product as an encore performance.

Just as CyberPowerPC promised during the last Oculus Connect developer conference, the company has unveiled a new entry-level virtual reality-ready pre-built PC powered by AMD for $499. That is a new low for a VR-capable configuration, and it's also available as a bundle with Oculus Rift for $1,099.98 at Best Buy and Amazon.

The red and black PC includes a quad-core AMD FX-4350 CPU and Radeon RX 470 GPU. It will also have 8GB DD3 memory, a 1TB 7,200 RPM hard drive, three USB 3.0 ports, seven USB 2.0 ports, a Gigabit Ethernet port and an HDMI slot.

For the price of $1,099.98, customers will get a VR-ready PC, a gaming keyboard, a gaming mouse, the Oculus Rift virtual reality headset, one sensor, the Oculus remote, an Xbox One controller, cables, and a virtual reality game called Lucky's Tale. The new Oculus Touch controllers and second sensor are not included.

Since the PC is officially certified as part of the Oculus Ready program, people shouldn't be worried about the performance. It can still provide a pretty decent virtual reality experience despite having lower specs than what people are used to seeing from a VR rig.

The price of the VR-ready hardware continues to go down every year since the virtual reality headsets were launched, making today the best time to get one. Additionally, last week at the 2017 CES, Asus also launched the VivoPC X, a compact, light-weight desktop built for portability without sacrificing power.

An additional information to the bundle: if one purchases the CyberPowerPC bundle, the consumer will also need to purchase the Oculus Touch controller kit priced at 200$ for a complete full-motion experience. The third stand-alone sensor can be purchased for full-room coverage by going to Oculus' official website.
