The Nokia 6 and Its Amazingly Interesting "Mid-Range" Features

Last Sunday, Nokia finally gave everyone what they were all waiting for - the Nokia 6. Nokia's first-ever Android smartphone has features that don't quite match with its mid-range smartphone price tag.

Six Interesting Nokia 6 Android smartphone features. The Nokia 6 was expected to launch at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) in February but instead made headlines when it was announced on the HMD Global website last Sunday to everyone's delight. The Nokia 6 price tag of US$245 makes it seem like a mid-range phone. However, its features are anything but the ordinary.

Before moving on to the five interesting features of Nokia's first android smartphone, let it be known that the Nokia 6 is just the first of many Nokia smartphones that will be launched this year. This is according to a press release statement from Juho Sarvikas, Chief Product Officer of HMD Global. Consumers should expect more from Nokia as the months go by. For now, the Nokia 6 will do just fine.

Full high-definition display. The Nokia 6 features a 5.5-inch full HD display protected by 2.5D Gorilla Glass. Nokia claims that it uses a polarized layer in the display stack allowing for good sunlight readability.

64GB of internal storage, 4GB of RAM. The full HD display won't take much of the Nokia 6's 4GB of RAM leaving more room for high-performance games and applications. This should be enough to provide a wonderful mobile experience. In addition to its 64GB of internal, the Nokia 6 comes with MicroSD support.

16-megapixel rear camera, 8-megapixel front camera. The Nokia 6's 16-megapixel rear camera has a f/2.0 lens and phase-detection autofocus. Its 8-megapixel front camera, on the other hand, has a f/2.0 84-degree wide-angle lens.

Dolby Atmos speakers. The Nokia 6 sports dual Dolby Atmos speakers with built-in dual amplifiers. The speakers are said to be 6 decibels louder than regular amplifiers.

Android Nougat. Nokia's attempt at Android with the Nokia X was a disappointment. The Nokia 6 will run on the Android Nougat which makes it at par with other Android devices such as Samsung's Galaxy S7.
