Samsung's Website Confirmed Bixby As New Virtual Assistant

Over the past few months, many people heard about Samsung developing two new tools called Bixby and Samsung Pay Mini, an artificial intelligence-powered personal virtual assistant. The tech giant is yet to confirm these services officially, but its website already revealed their existence.

Bixby is rumored to be Samsung's latest iteration of digital voice assistant that is most likely to compete with the likes of Google's Assistant. On the other hand, Samsung Pay Mini is designed to make payments more convenient online. References to both Bixby and Samsung Pay Mini have been revealed on a page called Samsung Pay Beta on the company's website.

Samsung accidentally referred to both upcoming services on an internal Samsung Pay login portal at its website. It is true that the details of both are still sketchy, but at least people can say that the existence of Samsung's new services are officially confirmed. Samsung has already given people hints in the past that users will not have to use specific apps to perform many tasks. The company seems to give out the idea of not having its partner's services in its phones as well.

While Google launched its own virtual assistant earlier this year, many questions have been raised as to how Google will react to this news. Google's biggest Android smartphone partner is Samsung, and the California firm kept its mouth shut about the news that Samsung is replacing the need for Google's new Assistant technology.

Fans are expecting new things from Samsung in the coming months, and it's not just Samsung Galaxy S8 that's going to make an attraction. The South Korean company seems to have a couple of other interesting products in its inventory, so it's just a matter of time before those products go official.

Samsung badly needs a show-stopper service after the disaster of its Galaxy Note 7. Now, rumors suggest that its upcoming Galaxy S8 will use the built-in go assistant in all of its pre-installed apps, and it's interesting to see how this will play out in reality.
