AMD Vega: The Most Powerful Graphic Architecture For Unlimited Workloads

The AMD Vega is the new powerful graphics architecture solution for virtually unlimited workloads. The brand new powerful GPU is good for gaming, VR, professional design and machine intelligence arenas. Vega will be launched a few months from now.

AMD revealed details of the GPU architecture Vega and its specifications. Vega enables many new possibilities in PC gaming, machine intelligence, and professional design. The data intensive workloads and GPU lends a fast access to massive amounts of memory. It enables processing huge datasets and the memory subsystem deals with a mix of memory types.

AMD designed Vega to solve the extraordinary breadth of problems of GPU. According to Raja Koduri that Vega is flexible in addressing the pivotal disruption of the high-bandwidth cache which impacts the whole GPU market. Raja Koduri is the senior vice president and chief architect of Radeon Technologies Group, AMD.

AMD Vega is flexible in handling high-bandwidth cache. It is also can access the on-package cache and off-package memories using a programmable method using fine-grained data movement. Vega handles gigabyte-scale problems in gaming to Extrabyte-scale data problems in machine intelligence.

The new GPU architecture excels in new memory hierarchy for GPUs. It has cache leading edge HBM2 technology. Vega is capable of transferring terabytes of data every second which doubles the bandwidth-per-pin than the generation HBM technology.

Vega HBM2 enables greater capacity less than half of GDDR5 memory footprints. It can work with various memory types with up to 512 TB of virtual address space. Vega has extraordinary resolutions of data acquisition devices such as games and professional applications. It is efficient in processing complex geometry and delivering 200 percent Radeon architectures per clock.

AMD Vega features improved load-balancing and workload distributor to deliver efficient performance. It process on 8-bit, 16-bit, 31-bit, or 64-bit operations in each clock cycle. Vega pixel engine has a Draw Steam Binning Rasterizer which is designed to improve power efficiency. It enables overhead reduction for graphics workloads.
