The North American International Auto Show starts today, Monday, January 9, 2017. The event brings several of the world's most innovative car companies together.

The event will be at the Cobo Center in Detroit and will have shows throughout the week. Detroit Free Press shared Monday's schedule of the event.

At 6:45 a.m, the winners of the 2017 North American Car, Truck and Utility Vehicle of the Year will be announced before the day breaks. The announcement will be held at the recently renovated atrium.

At 7:30 a.m, GM will finally unveil the 2018 Chevrolet Traverse family SUV. This will be on the convention center show floor. Immediately after, Audi will debut the all-new 2018 Audi A5 and S5 Cabriolet at 8 a.m., Audi will also showcase the concept version of a full-size SUV named the Q8.

After Audi's reveal, Lexus will take the center stage with the reveal of the redesigned sophisticated LS full-size sedan at 8:30 a.m. At 9:05 a.m, Ford will then have the very last automotive press conference at Joe Louis Arena. Demolition of the said arena will begin later this year.

Immediately following Ford's conference will be the auto show debut of the Mercedes E-series coupe at 9:45 a.m. The event will then take a quick break and will resume at 11:30 a.m with Nissan's presentation of its latest Quashqai crossover plans.

At noon, Honda is expected to reveal the all-new Odyssey minivan. Then Japanese manufacturer, Toyota, also looks to wow the audience with the unveiling of the all-new Camry midsize sedan. This is a vehicle that has been the most popular car in the United States alone for more than a decade.

Finally, at 2:30 p.m, three new vehicles from Guangzhou Automobile Group Company will debut, as previously reported by MotorTrend. Of course, more surprises are in store for the attendees of the show.

The Detroit Auto Show will continue until January 22. The public show will start on January 14th, tickets are $13, $7 for seniors and children.
