Bentley's Continental GT Speed Black Edition Is The Fastest Production Bentley Ever

Bentley, known as the ultra-luxury car brand just recently revealed its fastest and most powerful vehicle ever produced on Thursday. They company named it the third generation Bentley Continental Supersports. The supercar has a 6-liter, 12-cylinder, and twin turbocharged engine.

Bentley Continental Supersports is designed with a four-seater vehicle that is capable of traveling from zero to 60 miles per hour in just 3.4 seconds and has a top speed of 209mph. The car is known to be the fastest four-seater production car on the planet, equipped with a W12 engine and 700 horsepower.

Bentley CEO Wolfgang Durheimer said, "Only Bentley could create a car which blends immense performance and unrivaled luxury in this way." In addition, Volkswagen Group brand reported the details and photos of the new Bentley Continental Supersports for the first time last Thursday Night.

According to some sources, the said supercar will be making its official debut on Sunday morning in an event tied to the North American International Auto Show that will be held in Detroit.  Bentley also announced a convertible version of the car that isn't  that speedy compared to its siblings.

At its maximum speed of 209 mph, Supersports is capable of covering a length of a football field every second. To sum it up, it will require a decommissioned airfield, or try to find a lonesome highway.

In a press release on Friday, representatives for the carmaker concluded that the "the new Continental Supersports the world's fastest and most powerful luxury four-seat car."  The car power feeds through an 8-speed gearbox and AWD system. With so much acceleration numbers, the SuperSports can be compared to the Lamborghini Huracans and can easily leave behind a Porsche Carrera 4S a full second behind.

Meanwhile, gas mileage and the SuperSports price was not revealed. But potential customers who will be buying the supercar once its released should expect a minimum price at $200,000.
