AMD Ryzen Demo At CES 2017 Confirms 3.6GHz Base Clock; Can Turbo Up To 4.0 GHz Via F4 Stepping

Details about the AMD Ryzen have been gradually flowing out of CES 2017 as demo kiosks start to showcase their cutting-edge technologies. Yesterday, information directly from AMD Ryzen and Radeon Vega booths were gathered and it has confirmed some information about how the upcoming AMD processor will perform in real life. Today's technology and social media have really speed things up when it comes to juicy information about trending tech.

As soon as the AMD Ryzen demo went on, people within the event start to 'leak' information to the internet. The good guys at wccftech.com are kind enough to extend their information and post it on their page.

AMD Ryzen Demonstrated Using F3 Stepping

A demo with the AMD Ryzen running on DOOM at 4K looks stunning. Readers can view it below this article for reference, they also posted it at YouTube. The original post also would like to recognize the efforts of Hardwareluxx.de for giving out such valuable information.

The AMD Ryzen processor clearly has a base clock of 3.6 GHz when using F3 stepping. When boosted up, the clock cranked up to 3.9 GHz with a turbo ratio of 39/36. It is important to note that the chip used on the demo is not the final product so seeing it perform well is spectacular for PC enthusiasts.

AMD Ryzen Demonstrated Using F4 Stepping Beating Intel Core i7-6900K

The report also posted that Canard PC Hardware has revealed that the AMD Ryzen F4 stepping has been wrapped up and has recorded a turbo clock at 4.0 GHz. This would definitely give AMD a great chance in toppling over Intel as queen of processors. On overclock, the AMD Ryzen will have a higher clock compared to Intel Core i7-6900K. The latter can only boost up to 3.7 GHz.
