Samsung is currently the biggest phone maker on the market and with a lot of phone-makers popping up every day, it couldn’t pass unnoticed the struggle to stay at the top. With Apple on their toes and Huawei coming hard with light-speed Samsung had to create something entirely different from what users used to see. The Galaxy S8 could give the opportunity to the users to plug it into a screen and turn it into a personal desktop computer.

However, this is just a speculation for now, but people can’t be surprised if Samsung manages to pull this idea, CNBC reported. There was a leaked slide from a presentation in which people can see Samsung smartphone connected to a screen with a keyboard and mouse, which led to the idea that the Samsung’s team is cooking something big for S8. The slide was titled “Samsung Desktop Experience” and they probably are working on a powering screen to create a multi-tasking interface. S8 will probably run on Google’s Android OS. Even though Samsung Galaxy Note 7 was subsequently recalled that couldn’t weaken the market leader as they are still holding the majority, and if they manage to create S8 as it is speculated, they will remain on their throne for a long time.

Samsung still haven’t said anything about this ongoing assumptions about the new phone, and it looks like users will have to wait a little longer to see whether they will get a phone with PC capabilities or another Samsung phone, The Inquirer reported. There are also assumptions that Samsung will announce the newest model Samsung Galaxy S8 at an event in New York in April, but nothing is for certain. The delay is probably because of the previous problems the company had with Galaxy Note 7 due to lax quality control testing.

According to Value Walk, Samsung S8 will ditch the home button and the curved AMOLED display will occupy almost all of the phone’s face. It is said that the phone will also get rid of the 3.5mm headphone jack which will make it slimmer. The phone will also feature a huge 8GB RAM and it will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 chipset.
