When it comes to PC and laptops, Lenovo is still the brand to beat. The company proved that once again in the CES 2017 where the Lenovo ThinkPad laptops took center stage. This includes the X1 Carbon, X1 Yoga, and Yoga 370.

With today's technology, more and more companies are releasing their own computers. Thousands of different brands and models might be out, yet Lenovo's ThinkPad laptops remain to be the one to beat.

In CES 2017, Lenovo announced some improvements coming to its ThinkPad laptops. For instance, the ThinkPad X1 Carbon was previously chunkier than its competitions and peers alike. Now, Lenovo finally introduced the fifth-generation ThinkPad X1 Carbon laptop with slimmer display bezels - giving it a smaller footprint than most 13-inch systems despite it being the same 14-inch display laptop.

The ThinkPad X1 Carbon is now lighter, thinner and more portable than ever. It weighs less than 2.5 pounds (the previous model weighed 2.7-pound) without compromising the full-HD, 14-inch diagonal display screen.

The latest model of the X1 Carbon also runs on a brand-new Kaby Lake processor, much to the fans' delight. It also has a Qualcomm Snapdragon X7 LTE modem - score!

Those who travel will be happy to hear that Lenovo increased its battery life by more than 5 hours. The ThinkPad X1 Carbon can now last 15.5 hours, instead of the 10hours max battery life of the previous model. All the newer ThinkPad models will also support Microsoft's Precision Trackpad as well.

The Carbon also has a fingerprint reader with "match-in-sensor" technology, two Thunderbolt 3 ports, an HDMI port, and two USB-A ports. As expected, the OS (as with all other ThinkPads) is Microsoft's Signature Edition of Windows 10.

The Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon will start shipping February this year. It can be bought for $1,349 and up. Do you think Lenovo got everything right this time? What else is missing?
