The "Most Extreme Bentley Ever": A 2017 Continental GT Supersports? Check Out The Video [VIDEO]

Teased in the most recent video by Bentley, it looks like it's going to go out with a bit of a bang if Bentley's "Most Extreme" car ever is indeed the ultimate performance GT. Expected is the release of the new Bentley Continental GT to appear later in 2017. It is the third generation of the VW Bentley and it looks like the one described above.

According to Cars UK, there appears to be a carbon fiber fixed wing at the back of the Bentley together with statement red brake calipers, a bit of a carbon fiber body kit going on and bonnet louvers that are also in the carbon fiber.

It does need to be more extreme than the V8 powered Bentley Continental GT3-R seen in 2014, which had 572bhp and could get to 62mph in a scant 3.6 seconds, and should be more extreme than the GT Supersports which hit 62mph in 3.7 seconds from its 6211bhp W12.

The "Most Extreme Bentley Ever" video was teased by Bentley ahead of a debut on Friday, January 6, 2017. Many ask, "Is this a new 700bhp Continental GT Supersports?" And the answer remains to be seen.

As for its power source, Motor1 speculates that Bentley has prepared a hardcore version of the GT Speed with an upgraded iteration of its powerful W12 engine, therefore, expect the biturbo 6.0-liter unit to deliver more than the 633 horsepower and 620 pound-feet of torque capability of the GT Speed.

If it is indeed a new Supersports, it serves as a follow-up to the previous model launched in 2009 with more power and less weight than lesser versions.

The possibility of this being a different Bentley Continental GT version is not excluded. Something along the lines of a new GT3-R? Maybe. They will be revealed on Friday, for sure, and Bentley will most likely have it on display in March at the 2017 Geneva Motor Show.
