SEAT, a Spanish Automobile Manufacturer under the Volkswagen Group, will soon release its latest small SUV dubbed "Arona", named after a city in the Island of Tenerife. With its prototype spotted undergoing a test under cold weather, there are speculations that it will be released later this year. This crossover will complete the SEAT four pillars namely the Leon, Ateca, Ibiza and Arona.

To make sure that the SUV "Arona" will never encounter problems related to weather conditions, the cars was tested in a location with a handling track and an off-road tracks. Other man-made obstacles were added to the terrain of the testing area. This is to make sure that the SUV "Arona" can withstand whatever kind of environment it will encounter in the future, according to Auto Evolution.

Despite the fact that the SUV "Arona" was under heavy disguise, some features remained highly noticeable. One observation made was that the SUV "Arona" possessed smoother lines compared to the other three SEAT models. Its styling was apparently derived from the supermini designs. The detail of its head and tail-lights were also observable, according to Auto Car.

The SUV "Arona" will be powered by engine with 3 cylinders and four cylinders with turbo battery charger. The first edition will have a front-wheel drive although there were speculations that a version with four-wheel drive will be most likely to follow. Built by the Volkswagen Team, Spanish Branch, this small SUV will have its debut at the 2017 Frankfurt Motor Show, according to Cars Info.

The SEAT aims to be recognized for its SUVs in the near future and this is one reason why it actively gets involved with events where it can showcase its cars. With world-renown Volkswagen as its partner, it will not take long for the SUV "Arona" and other SEAT cars to make their name as cars that other big car makers should never take for granted.
