Peugeot 308 Review: Family & Sports Obligations Combined

The French carmaker's latest car couldn’t pass unnoticed. Peugeot 308 is Golf-sized and available in GTi format with 270 horsepower Sports version. This car is perfect for those who have a family, it looks good, the drive is safe and those who have £30.000 to afford it will enjoy every ride in it. Peugeot 308 has Audi quality without the predictable design theme. It is simple and the owner will feel the palpable sense of quality in everything he touches in it.

The engine defines the car and according to Pocket-Lint, Peugeot 208 has delivered 270bhp from a 1.6-litre unit which makes it incredible and Peugeot had to play tricks with turbochargers and intercoolers. Peugeot 308 will give you a different experience from other cars in its class. This car is probably the closest to Seat Leon Cupra because of its stealthy quick. Those who decide to buy Peugeot 308 will have refined, comfortable and easy to live with the car. Although the back seat space is pretty tight. The fussy touchscreen needs to be updated also, it is slow, dim-witted and it is hard to work with, but a system update is coming soon.

According to The Motor Report, Peugeot 308 has a small wagon, it costs $39,490 it has 110kW/370Nm 2.0 turbo diesel four-cylinder engine, it is also six-speed automatic with 4.2l/100km fuel economy claimed, but tested it showed 6.5l/100km. The interior has a standard equipment, keyless auto-entry with push button start. It has a leather steering wheel, trip computer, power windows, and a dual-zone climate control air-conditioning. The system can be slow to engage and juggling between climate controls, navigation, and music, all functions are contained on this screen which will be a problem to use especially for the driver when he should be focused on the road.

The seats are very comfortable and supportive when it comes to when things get sweaty and there is a lot of passenger and cargo space. It has five doors and it is well capable of family duties but it doesn’t abandon its sports obligations. The French car-maker surely knew how to roar back on the market with a beast car who can be a family car as well as sports, Irish Examiner reported.
